Title:  Medicare Fraud Overview

Speaker Bio: Lauren Roberds has been with Rock and Armor Physical Therapy and Sports Performance since day one in 2014 and now serves as Clinic Operations Manager, overseeing operations and billing across all 4 locations. She spends her days translating insurance jargon, untangling billing questions, and making sure patients and teams alike understand the why behind the numbers. With an MBA in Healthcare Administration and a Master’s degree in Leadership Development, Lauren brings both real-world experience and a leadership lens to conversations around medical fraud—focused on doing things the right way, protecting patients, and keeping healthcare honest and human.

• Overview of medical fraud, how it differs from waste and abuse, and why it matters to providers, staff, and patients

• Common types of medical fraud, real-world case examples, and key laws and regulations

• Red flags that can lead to audits or investigations

• Prevention and compliance best practices, including how to respond when fraud is suspected

• How individual roles contribute to protecting patients and organizations
